Chapter Officers
Chapter President - Leslie LeBlanc
Leslie is a graduate of Auburn University where she served as Vice President of the 1989 Phi Theta pledge class collegiate chapter and served the chapter as Social Chair. Leslie, moved to the Charlotte area in 2022. She loves the Queen City! She is located in the Steele Creek neighborhood. She joined the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter in 2024 and has had the honor of serving as its President since 2025. Her hobbies include reading, Lego builds, fiber arts and traveling!
Vice President, Reference Chair & Communications Chair - Madison Gobbell
Madison is a proud Life Loyal Tri Delta member from the Alpha Lambda chapter at the University of South Carolina. She is blessed by the sisterhood she gained through joining Tri Delta, and she still talks to her best friends from her chapter daily. In her free time, she enjoys reading and playing pickleball.
Treasurer - Janet Duddy
Janet attended Wake Forest University where she was a charter member of the Gamma Kappa chapter and served as Treasurer. She graduated with a double major in Math and Computer Science and moved to Charlotte to work in systems development at First Union which later became Wells Fargo. She worked for the bank for 35 years before retiring in March 2026. She is married and lives in Denver, NC. She has a 22 year old special needs son and a 19 year old son who attends NC State. Janet enjoys cooking, reading, crafts, volunteering, and working out at Burn Boot Camp. She joined the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter in 2022 and is looking forward to serving the chapter as Treasurer.
Philanthropy Chair - Peggy Rishe
Peggy is a graduate of the University of Illinois where she served as Collegiate Chapter President of the Delta Pi chapter. She served for 7 years as the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter President, and currently serves her chapter as the Philanthropy Chair. Also, she loves volunteering for Tri Delta as the Alumnae Chapter Coordinator for Region 6 supporting and coaching 33 alumnae chapters. Peggy, along with her husband and 2 sons, moved to the Charlotte area in 2005 from Illinois. They love the Queen City! In the fall of 2020, they bought a home on beautiful Lake Norman just north of Charlotte. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, card-making, traveling, gardening, and playing mahjong and pickleball. In addition, Peggy loves all things Tri Delta!
Membership Chair - Marty Viser
Marty's 20+ year career has been focused on making a difference in the community. At First Union Corporation, she helped develop the company's philanthropy program, “Education First,” and grew the program from 5,000 to 22,000 employee volunteers in four years. Marty helped implement the nation's largest corporate literacy event, “Reading First,” led by Colin Powell and winner of the Points of Light Award for Community Involvement from President Clinton. After the bank, Marty joined Goodrich Corporation as their Manager, Corporate Affairs. She helped spearhead the $3.5 million capital campaign to build Junior Achievement's "JA Biztown," which she eventually left to lead and develop. Marty later joined Piedmont Natural Gas as a Community and Government Relations Manager, as well as Campbell’s Snacks as Project Manager in Community Relations, and is currently Community Relations and Communications Manager at BASF in Durham, NC.
Marty earned a B.S. in Business Administration at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. where she serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for a second term. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Harris YMCA, the YWCA, Artpop Street Gallery, six boards at The Mint Museum, Veterans Bridge Home, Women Executives, and chaired the Better Business Bureau's Foundation Board of Directors.
Panhellenic Council Chair - Angela Quinn
Angela is a Charlotte native and a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she served Alpha Lambda chapter as Historian, Chaplain, and Chapter President. She has served Tri Delta as a Field Consultant and in various national volunteer roles. She has a daughter who is 25 and sons who are 23, 21, and 18. Angela is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Give Hope Global supporting education and medical efforts in Ghana and Haiti. She will soon enter empty nester life and looks forward to discovering hobbies.
Book Club Chair - Sarah Bucciero
Sarah Bucciero is a proud Tri Delta alumnae member, the Operations Advisor for the Beta Theta Chapter at Clemson University, ALSAC employee supporting the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, author, and educational leader. She currently serves on the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter board and is passionate about preserving her son’s legacy at St. Jude, being a boy mom, traveling, and reading.
Young Alumnae Chair - Kirby Fitzpatrick
Kirby Fitzpatrick is a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky where she joined the Beta Phi chapter. In the chapter, she served as vice president of community relations and director of academic excellence. Currently, Kirby serves as collegiate chapter specialist for the collegiate chapters at Elon University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She enjoys running, needlepointing and enjoying restaurants around Charlotte!
Celebration Committee Chair and Zip Code Ambassador - Denise Root
Denise was initiated into Tri Delta at the University of South Florida, where she also met her husband, Chandler. They married in 1989 and have enjoyed many adventures together as Chandler’s career took them to several states before settling in Cornelius, North Carolina, in 2017. Denise is the proud mom of two sons, and she and Chandler are blessed with two wonderful grandchildren. After careers in banking and event planning, Denise retired in 2018 but continues to share her love of creating memorable experiences through parties, fundraisers, and gatherings that bring people together. Chandler retired in 2024, and Denise is enjoying this next chapter of life filled with family, travel, entertaining, volunteering, and reconnecting with her Tri Delta sisters. We are excited to welcome Denise to the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter and look forward to getting to know her!
Sunshine Committee Co-Chair - Candy Gipe
A 1972 Phi Alpha Tri Delta initiate (University of Toledo), I served the chapter as Pledge Class President, Sponsor Chairman, Chaplain and President. I am the 1975 Sarah Ida Shaw award recipient. 54 years later, our purpose, our legends and our beautiful rituals continue to provide me a roadmap for daily living. I’m an AT&T retiree and spent 15 additional years in training and consulting for sales professionals. I had an Etsy shop for 15+years and love to make paper things for our chapter members and our celebrations.
Sunshine Committee Co-Chair - Anne Smith
Anne was initiated into Tri Delta at West Virginia University and graduated from Ohio State University. She lives in Mount Pleasant, SC, and is married and has three children and two grandsons. She joined the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter in 2020 and volunteers with three collegiate Tri Delta chapters. She enjoys reading, tennis, and traveling.
